THE TEACHINGS ON THE EXCELLENT PATH TO OMNISCIENCE:

DZOGPA CHENPO LONGCHEN NYINGTHIG PRELIMINARY PRACTICES (NGÖNDRO)

As time permits, during each of the three days following the daily Three Roots Empowerment Program the Venerable Gonjang Rinpoche will teach from the Luminosity-Great Perfection, LongChen NyingThig, the Heart Drop of the Great Expanse. These instructional teachings of the LongChen NyingThig inner and outer preliminary practices (Ngöndro) present the essentials for anyone who wishes to begin the practice of Ngöndro. These teachings are more than foundational, revealed by the Omniscient Jigmed Lingpa. Hearing these teachings may also bring immeasurable benefit to those who are currently accumulating or have even completed their Ngöndro, and for all who are Vajrayana practitioners, purifying and transforming the mind on the path towards enlightenment.

This liturgy was compiled at the request of His Holiness Jadral Rinpoche. In GloriousSamye, His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche extracted the nectar-essence of the three different Terma-volumes into this ‘Ngag-so layjang,’ which is the Shi-tro liturgy used by practitioners of Secret Mantra as a restorative practice for repairing damaged samayas (Ngag-so).”

THE MOST VENERABLE GONJANG RINPOCHE

The Most Venerable Gonjang Tingkey Rinpoche is the founder and abbot ofGonjang Monastery in Gangtok Sikkim.

Gonjang Rinpoche is the 10th incarnation of the renowned 15th century Nyingma Treasure Revealer Ngagchang Yolmo Shakya Zangpo of Tibet. Gonjang Rinpoche is a spiritual heart-son of His Holiness Dodrupchen Rinpoche who is his root teacher. Rinpoche was born in 1962 in Sikkim, and was recognized by His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche and reconfirmed by His Holiness the Dalai Lama and His Holiness the 16th Karmapa.

Gonjang Rinpoche is a highly accomplished meditation master and a prominent lineage holder of the Jang-ter, LongChen NyingThing and Dudjom Lineages.

Often traveling and teaching his many disciples throughout Asia, we are fortunate Gonjang Rinpoche is able to return to Pema Drawa for the fist time in ten years. We rejoice as we welcomeThe Most Venerable Gonjang Rinpoche back to Pema Drawa for this profound homecoming.
