His Holiness the Sakya Trizin, the 41st Patriarch of the Sakya Lineage
Tuesday, April 28th
FOR A SPECIAL EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM
2:30pm – 5:30pm
at Pema Drawa, Tehachapi, California
LONGEVITY EMPOWERMENTS OF:
AMITAYUS & HAYAGRIVA From the direct lineage of THANGTONG GYALPO
The blessings of His Holiness bestowing these Thangtong Gyalpo longevity empowerments are truly immeasurable due to the strength of the connection of His Holiness the Sakya Trizin to Thangtong Gyalpo. Living to be 130 years of age, Thangtong Gyalpo is a manifestation of Guru Rinpoche in human form. This series of empowerments will be of particular benefit for those seeking longevity to strengthen their life-force to support spiritual practice in order to benefit others. It is said that this particular Amitayus Empowerment is known as the “100 Year Long-life initiation” due to the many practitioners who have lived above the age of one hundred years through the accomplishment of this practice. The benefits of the Hayagriva Empowerment are believed to assist with dispelling sickness in general, and specifically with the purification of bodily obscurations caused by karmic conditions and various unseen negative influences.
GURU RINPOCHE LONGEVITY EMPOWERMENT from the treasures of the APONG TERTÖN.
One of the great treasure revealers of the Nyingma Lineage of Tibetan Budhism, Apong Tertön is known to be one of the sons conceived by the wisdom mind of Dudjom Lingpa. An incarnation of Rigdzin Gödem, Apong Tertön was also one of the root teachers of our Holiness: His Holiness Dodrupchen Rinpoche. Apong Tertön, designator of his own death and rebirth, stated his intention to benefit dharma and all beings by taking a direct rebirth as His Holiness the Sakya Trizin. Any transmission of the treasures of Apong Tertön bestowed by His Holiness the Sakya Trizin holds incalculable blessings–particularly this precious Longevity empowerment of Guru Rinpoche, embodiment of all of the Buddhas of the three times.

ABOUT HIS HOLINESS THE SAKYA TRIZIN
Born in Tibet in 1945, His Holiness the Sakya Trizin ascended to the throne of Sakya at the age of seven. Trained in the various teachings of Sutra and Tantra, His Holiness embodies the complete qualities of a Tantric master. Presently residing in Mussoorie, Northern India, His Holiness travels frequently and is tireless in bestowing initiations and teachings to his many disciples. For the benefit of the Buddha Dharma and for his disciples, His Holiness has bestowed numerous initiations, teachings and public talks, traveling extensively worldwide to do so.
In this way, just as water is poured from one vase to another, His Holiness has received all the profound teachings of the Sakya tradition and many of the teachings and transmissions of the Nyingma tradition, and has passed them on to his disciples around the world.
His Holiness the Sakya Trizin holds a special connection with Ari Bhöd’s founder; the late Lama Chödak Gyatso Nubpa Rinpoche. We are deeply honored to welcome at long last His Holiness the Sakya Trizin to Ari Bhöd’s retreat land, Pema Drawa. We look forward to sharing this opportunity with all participants.
