The Annual T’hröma Drubchöd arose from Lama Chödak Gyatso Nubpa Rinpoche’s unwavering commitment to his precious lama, His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche. Lama Gyatso pledged to H.E. Chagdud Rinpoche to uphold this profound cycle of practice here in America. Since that promise, the retreat has been maintained every year without interruption under Lama Gyatso's auspices. His Eminence Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche led the very first T’hröma Drubchöd retreat in 1995 in Los Angeles. The Vajrayana Buddhist practice of T’hröma is a wrathful means for cutting through ego and revealing the enlightened mind through the practices of generosity and compassion. This profound method, which includes the practice of Chöd, is unsurpassed in its capacity to heal, overcome energetic disturbances, and bring about realization of the true nature of mind.
